News & Content HB9EHP • Hans Peter Naegeli Cargo Manager
Hans Peter is married to Magali and they have three children: David (20), Rahel (18) and Sarah (10). Although he was born in Switzerland, he has traveled around the world both privately and for his job. Hans Peter is a telecom specialist for wireless systems, which has to this day remained his passion. He currently designs GSM/UMTS/HSDPA infrastructures and security systems based on RFID for large construction sites using MIS, telemetry and security components. Hans Peter started his "radio career" as a 7 year old when he built a detector radio, and many homebrew projects followed after that. He has been licensed as a ham since 2007. Hans Peter enjoys experimenting on the HF bands with wire antennas, preferably in the wide-open outdoors. He takes special pleasure in operating QRP where he tries to coax the impossible from his equipment. Hans Peter often seeks out rare DX stations, but he gets just as much pleasure from extended QSOs with radio friends from around the world. He is a member of the Union of Swiss Shortwave Amateurs (USKA) and the USKA branch club in Zug (HB9RF). Hans Peter is supporting the 3W6C DXpedition in the areas of logistics and transportation.
