QSL from 3W6C
How do I receive a confirmation for my contact with 3W6C?

Requesting a QSL

Important note:

To receive the QSL card, you have several options:

Direct service

You send your QSL card in the mail directly to our QSL Manager and in return receive our QSL card directly from him.

  • Mailing address:
Leo Marbach, HB9DWL, Kornfeld 6, CH-6212 St. Erhard, Switzerland
  • Include a self-addressed envelope (NO stamps on the envelope as noted below)
  • Include funds to cover the cost of the return mailing:
    • For Switzerland and Liechtenstein: please put a stamp on the envelope
    • for Europe: include 1 IRC or 2 US dollars or 1 euro
    • for all other countries: include 1 IRC or 2 US dollars
  • IRCs: We accept only valid IRCs. The current IRC series is valid until 31 December 2013.
  • QSL requests sent to us with insufficient return postage will be returned 100% through the bureau (see the paragraph below on the bureau service)

QSL sponsors: All additional, individual donations are greatly appreciated. For each individual who sends 5 US dollars or more , we will list that person on the 3W6C website in the Spo List Individuals"Individual sponsors" category.

Bureau service

You send your QSL card to your local QSL bureau or your QSL manager, and you receive our QSL by the same route. Here we use the FIFO system (First In - First Out).

  • QSL information: 3W6C via HB9DWL

Electronic service

You enter your QSO with 3W6C in the Logbook of the World (LoTW) or with eQSL. If there is a successful match after we upload our log, that is your confirmation.

Mailing QSLs

Due to the large amount of time required, we send the 3W6C QSL cards in three staggered phases:

Phase 1: Direct service  Done

  • As soon as we receive the finished QSL cards from the printer, we will begin to send them out to those who have send their card directly to us in the mail.

Phase 2: Bureau service In Process

  • As soon as Phase 1 has been completed, we will answer cards in Phase 2 on a continuing basis.

Phase 3: Electronic service Later

  • The 3W6C log will be available in the Logbook of the World and eQSL approximately 12 months after the DXpedition, following the conclusion of Phase 2.

Information about the status of mailings

We will provide information about the status of these various confirmation phases with news reports on our website. For obvious administrative reasons, we cannot respond to individual inquiries about whether your personal QSL card has been sent. We will also provide real-time information about news reports pertaining to QSLs and other matters with our RSS feed.
