Stations
We will run five stations simultaneously:
- CW 1: IC-756PROIII, amp OM 2500
- CW 2: K3/100, amp Alpha 91B
- SSB 1: K3/100, amp Expert 1K-FA
- SSB 2: K3/100, amp Expert 1K-FA
- RTTY: K3/100, amp Expert 1K-FA
- 6 m: TS-480, solid state amplifier
- Spare 1: K3/100, solid state amplifier
- Spare 2: TS-480, solid state amplifier
- Spare 3: FT-100D, amp Heathkit SB 200
- Satellite: FT-850 (no amp)
- Dunestar and ICE bandpass filters
Antennas
Planned antennas are: - 160 m: top-loaded vertical, up 30 m, by Spiderbeam, mast on the beach or in the ocean, elevated radials.
- 80 m SSB: phased array of 2 quarter-wave verticals, l/4 spacing
- 80 m CW: 4-square, phased array, elevated radials.
- 40 m SSB: 4-square, phased array, elevated radials.
- 40 m CW: 4-square, phased array, elevated radials.
- 30 m CW: 4-square, phased array, elevated radials.
- 40/30 m RTTY: loop made of Spider fiberglass masts.
- 20 m - 10 m CW: 2x Spiderbeam 20-17-15-10, 1 up 21 m, 1 up 18 m.
- 20 m - 10 m SSB: 2x Spiderbeam 20-17-15-10, 1 up 21 m, 1 up 18 m.
- 20 m - 10 m RTTY: Spiderbeam 20-17-15-10, up 18 m.
- 6 m: 6-element beam on 6 m boom, up 8 m + omnidirectional beacon antenna.
- Low-band Rx: K9AY receiving antennas.
- RTTY (optional): 80 m inverted V dipole, below spiderbeam, up 20 m.
Power- 4x diesel generators, 5.5 kW each, by KAMA, model KDE 6500T, total 22 kW.

WLOTA Number #2557 on Côn Có | According to the "World Lighthouse On The Air" Program, there is a lighthouse on Côn Có Island that is valid for WLOTA awards. We have been informed that QSOs with 3W6C will be valid for WLOTA #2557 after receipt of validation. Read more on the WLOTA program on their web site. |
